EXPO 2023 Special Representative Erdoğan Kök continues his visits

Ambassador Erdoğan Kök, appointed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as the Special Representative of EXPO 2023 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, made intensive visits to increase international participation, and invited many countries to EXPO 2023 Onikisubat-Kahramanmaraş in the presence of ambassadors.

Onikisubat Municipality, chaired by Hanefi Mahçiçek, brought EXPO, which is described as the Olympics in the fields of culture, history, education, art, entertainment and trade, to Kahramanmaraş in 2023 with the unanimous vote of the General Assembly of the International Horticulture Producers Association (AIPH) in 2018. and continues its efforts to increase its international brand value. Despite the fact that the giant project that will shape the future of Kahramanmaraş has been opened for more than 12 months, 70 percent of the EXPO Project Area has been completed as a result of devoted efforts, while remarkable steps are being taken for its promotion in the national and international arena. Onikişubat Mayor Hanefi Mahçiçek, who made important contacts in this context, requested that the project be taken under the auspices of the Presidency, while providing information about the project in the private meeting held by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his visit to the city. President Erdoğan, on the other hand, did not leave President Mahçiçek’s request unanswered and appointed Ambassador Erdoğan Kök, who was appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to coordinate the international relations of the EXPO 2023 Project, as the Special Representative.

While EXPO 2023 Special Representative Ambassador Erdoğan Kök frequently comes to Kahramanmaraş to exchange views with President Mahçiçek, he makes important visits to Ankara in order to increase international participation. Special Representative Kök lastly visited Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Kubaniçbek Ömuraliyev, Ambassador of Japan Suzuki Kazuhiro, Ambassador of Nigeria İsmail Yusuf Abba, Ambassador of Chile Rodrigo Arcos, Ambassador of Pakistan Muhammed Syrus Sajjad Qazi, Ambassador of Bangladesh Mosud Mannan and Ambassador of Singapore Jonathan Tow, EXPO 2023 He talked about the goals of Kahramanmaraş-Onikisubat and the benefits it will provide to the participating countries. Kök hosted Taipei Ankara Economy and Culture Mission Representative Volkan Chih-Yang Huang and his Deputy Larry Dong in his office in Ankara.

Inviting the countries he visited before the ambassadors to EXPO 2023 Kahramanmaraş-Onikisubat, Kök stated that his visits will continue without slowing down and that at least 54 countries will participate in the EXPO in Kahramanmaraş.
