In spite of its natural beauty, strategic location and cultural/historical richness, Kahramanmaraş long time waiting to be explored. In this regard Horticultural Expo came out as a very convenient project parallel with the scope and goals of the Horticulture Expos.

The need for such a significant transformation well overlapped with the themes of the Expo 2023. The city administration together with the people of Kahramanmaraş have a strong desire to make the city nature friendly and increase sensitivity to the nature, learn and use new technics like biophilic design etc.

Development of horticultural industry in the city (the city has convenient climate conditions for horticultural industry) in order to diversify economical activities is another important motivation behind Expo.

Moreover, using the Expo to trigger investments, business opportunities, to create new jobs and the promotion of the city in Turkey and abroad are the other ultimate goals.
